Scott and Kass have been Amateur Radio (Ham) operators for a number of years. We like to say, “Hams will save the world.” but honestly, that’s probably not true. What is true however, is amateur radio is a fun hobby with lots of different activities under the umbrella of “radio.” We recently got into GMRS as a way to get reluctant family members on the air. It’s worked out great and has been a fun addition to the amateur frequencies.
Some of the activities we’re involved in include:
- APRS
- Allstarlink and Hamvoip
- GMRS Live
- Winlink
- Node Building with Raspberry Pi’s
